When National Australia Bank acquired Citi’s APAC consumer business, we were tasked with creating MyCard as an interim brand that could both retain loyal Citi customers and attract a new audience. Our approach was to strike a careful balance: refined and sophisticated enough to feel familiar, yet distinctive enough to stand apart. At the same time, we designed with the future in mind. With MyCard set to transition into the NAB brand, key elements such as typography, imagery, and illustration were either drawn directly from NAB’s toolkit or crafted to closely align with it, ensuring the eventual shift feels seamless, familiar, and considered.
